How the George Daniels Perpetual Calendar works.

As many of you know I have been busy working away on the David Walter double pendulum clock.  I have almost completed the maintenance work and will share videos of the fascinating action of the double pendulums next week.

Following my work on the perpetual calendar system I was asked if I could explain the mechanism and how it works, so this week's YouTube offering is an in-depth look into just how this fascinating and ingenious mechanism works.  I think George Daniels was touching on brilliance when he came up with this, but I must congratulate David Walter on his interpretation of the patent drawings and his application of the system for clockwork.

If you are not already following me on Instagram then please do click the button above and have a look as I regularly post pictures of what I'm currently working on, often parts of the clock that never normally see the light of day.

I hope you are continuing to find interest and enjoyment from following me on my horological adventures.  All feedback is very gratefully received, it's great to hear from you.

All the very best
Tommy
